Alpental will stay open one more weekend, resort spokeswoman Holly Lippert confirmed this morning. The Snoqualmie Pass ski area originally planned to close for the season today, however greater than normal snow accumulations is allowing the resort to stay open for another week. The Summit at Snoqualmie resort will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 12 and 13. The Summit received 591 inches of snow this season. It averages 444 inches of snow per season. Lift tickets are $5 at Alpental today.
