Pink's tour launch, originally scheduled for Sept. 15 at Seattle's WaMu Theater, has been moved to KeyArena, the pop star's publicist announced today.
All tickets bought for the WaMu show will be honored at KeyArena, and wristbands will be issued to all WaMu ticket holders to ensure floor and lower bowl access, according to today's announcement.
Additional tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday (Aug. 29). Learn more here.
This week's hottest ticket is for the No Doubt's show Sunday at White River Amphitheatre, the band's first local tour stop in half a decade.
So last week I got on the phone with drummer Adrian Young, and in the clip below he talks about the butterflies that preceded this tour, fanatical fans and how hittin' the road is different now verses back in the '90s.

Before I write anything else about the Jonas Brothers’ headlining set at the Tacoma Dome Sunday night, I have to give a big shout out to “South Park” creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker. They made my experience at the T-Dome far more bearable than expected, and at times pretty humorous.
I don't mean to hate on the Jo Bros. They seem like nice enough lads. But I’m the wrong gender and about two decades too old to get it. Their confectionary, Disney-sanctioned pop makes my eyes glaze over faster than melatonin, and many of the parental guardian types on site at the T-Dome Sunday feel the same way by the looks of things.
But tweeners fiend for the Jo Bros in a way that can't be cured without a trip to the ol' Schick Shadel (or, like, turning 16 and discovering emo.) And being reminded just how crazed those hormone-addled fans get at the mere mention of Nick, Kevin or Joe, and just how little the “South Park” guys had to exaggerate for their Jonas Brothers episode, was heeee-larious!
By now, you probably know that Michael Jackson has died. Here's a local reaction story I'm working on for tomorrow's paper.
Puget Sound’s music fans and local media reacted to the death of pop trailblazer Michael Jackson Thursday afternoon.
News that the 50-year-old performer had gone into cardiac arrest spread virally, with many receiving the news from Twitter or text message.
Others tuned into local music stations KUBE-FM (93.3) and KBKS-FM (Kiss, 106.1), which kept the King of Pop’s hits in heavy rotation. And over on KPTK-AM (1090), even Seattle pundit Ron Reagan shifted from talk of universal health care to take calls about the pop star’s demise.
Several sources, including the Los Angeles Times, are reporting that King of Pop has died of an apparent heart attack. He was 50.
Daddy’s at the Emerald Queen this weekend. And now Miley Cyrus will follow with a big blowout in September. The tweener-pop idol will headline the Tacoma Dome on Sept. 16, promoter AEG Live announced today.
The tour will kick off two days before that, on Sept. 14 at the Portland’s Rosegarden.
Ticket prices will range from $39.50 to $79.50, according to today’s announcement. They’ll go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on June 13, but American Express card holders will be allowed to purchase tickets online beginning 10 a.m. on June 10; www.ticketmaster.com/mileycyrus for details.
Grand Duchy is the Pixies’ Frank Black (born Charles Thompson, a.k.a. Black Francis) and wife Violet Clark. The duo recently released their debut album “Petits Four,” one of my favorite albums of 2009 so far. They’ll showcase their infectious pop sound at Jazzbones on Saturday (May 2), with a little support from Tacoma's own synth-pop gurus, the Nightgowns (formerly the Elephants.) And that seemed like as good a reason as any to ring the couple up at home in Eugene, Ore.
Click here to listen to some of what they had to say, along with clips from "Petits Four" cuts “Fort Wayne,” “Black Suit,” “Lovesick” and “Seeing Stars.”
Frank Black and Violet Clark will serve up "Petit Fours" Saturday at Jazzbones.

Was meaning to post this follow-up to the Beyonce scandal post. But it appears the clip of her supposedly singing a hideously off-key version of "If I Were a Boy" on the Today Show was a hoax - perpetrated by one of her fans, no less. (Not sure if that'll keep lawyers from getting involved.) Click here for the Rolling Stone report. And I, for one, will remain on the lookout for lip-syncing fakers. Word!
Britney’s back!
Forget all the head shaving, fly-by-night marriages, racy paparazzi shots and other acts of public lunacy. The pop princess has her game face back on. And her comeback tour – Circus Starring Britney Spears, featuring opening act Pussycat Dolls – will bring big-time spectacle to the Tacoma Dome beginning at 8 p.m. tonight.

For her first area tour stop since the Onyx Hotel tour five years ago (a lifetime in pop terms) fans should expect some serious “ooh ahhh” factor, with acrobats, magicians and a whole team of dancers.
Beyonce, the reigning queen of pop, just flew through KeyArena (literally, during "Baby Boy.") I’ll dig through my notes for more details in a spell. Meanwhile, here’s a set list for anyone who missed all the bootylicious action.

Apparently, the appetite for a middle-aged New Kids on the Block is much greater than I ever imagined. They headlined the T-Dome last fall. And their comeback bid will take them to Auburn's White River Amphitheatre on July 7, Live Nation announced Monday. Tickets are $19.50 to $79.50, and will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Check here for details.
