This week: Nationwide Tour's Albertsons Boise Open, Thursday through Sunday, Hillcrest Country Club, Boise, Idaho.

Second-round score: Even-par 71.

Position: Putnam (5-under 136) is tied for 15th, five strokes behind leader Bill Lunde (131).

Recap: The bogey-free ride from Thursday ended abruptly Friday, on the first hole (on the par-4 10th). After that, Putnam made little happen (three birdies, three bogeys), making birdies on all three par-5s. He had 34 putts Friday.

Tee time Saturday: 10:50 a.m. PDT off the first tee with Skip Kendall.
