This week: Nationwide Tour's Oregon Classic, Thursday through Sunday, Shadow Hills Country Club, Junction City, Ore.

Third-round score: 1-over-par 73.

Position: Putnam (3-under 213) is tied for 48th, 13 strokes behind leader Matt Bettencourt (200).

Recap: The Tacoma native was 3-under on his round through 15 holes, and lurked near the top 20. Then, the round unraveled on the par-4 17th with water all down the left side. Putnam found it, and ended up making triple bogey to shoot one of the 17 over-par rounds Saturday.

Tee time Sunday: 9:27 a.m. PDT off the first tee with Yakima's Brock Mackenzie.
