This week: Nationwide Tour's Oregon Classic, Thursday through Sunday, Shadow Hills Country Club, Junction City, Ore.

Fourth-round score: 1-over-par 73.

Position: Putnam's 2-under 286 was tied for 52nd, 17 strokes behind winner Matt Bettencourt (269).

Recap: Not even playing with fellow Washington golfer Brock Mackenzie (Yakima), in the event closest to his hometown, Tacoma, could spark the Life Christian Academy product to do something spectacular. Putnam bogeyed the first hole, made back-to-back birdies at Nos. 5 and 6 and made a final bogey on the water-lined 17th hole – the site of his triple bogey Saturday.

Next: WNB Golf Classic, Oct. 9-12 at Midland CC in Midland, Texas.
