This week: Nationwide Tour's WNB Golf Classic, Thursday through Sunday, Midland Country Club, Midland Texas.

Third-round score: 4-over-par 76.

Position: Putnam (3-under 213) is tied for 34th, 14 strokes behind leader Marc Leishman (199)

Recap: This one hurts. After day after making seven birdies, the Tacoma native did something Saturday he has not done all season – play a round without a birdie or eagle, and fell 28 spots on the leaderboard. Driving accuracy was part of the problem (hit only six of 14 fairways), and half the bogeys surprisingly came on par-5s. Putnam's 76 was the worst round he's had this season.

Tee time Sunday: 6:30 a.m. PDT off the first tee with Rich Barcelo and Jason Schultz.
