The club professionals in the Northwest have a monumental streak going.
Twenty-seven up.
Twenty-seven down.
That is how it stands the last 27 years in the WSGA's Hudson Cup between the pros and top amateurs in the Northwest facing off in three days of match-play competition.
"There is a ton of pressure, and obviously there are a lot of good amateurs in the Northwest," said Chris Griffin, the assistant pro at Tacoma Country and Golf Club playing in his second Hudson Cup. "But we have a pretty good team of professionals, too."
The 60th Hudson Cup opens Wednesday at The Members Course at Aldarra in Fall City.
