This week: PGA Tour's Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, Thursday through Sunday, TPC Summerlin, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Third-round score: 4-under-par 68.

Position: Moore (18-under 198) is tied for eighth, three strokes behind leader Marc Turnesa (195).

Recap: The Puyallup native dropped one spot on the leaderboard (from eighth to ninth), but gained one stroke on the leader – and a front-runner who has never won on the PGA Tour. For the third consecutive round, Moore made birdies on the par-4 sixth and par-5 ninth holes, and ended his round by canning an 11-foot putt for another birdie. His 28 birdies are tied for sixth in the field.

Tee time Sunday: 12:05 p.m. off the first tee with John Mallinger.

This week: Nationwide Tour's Chattanooga Classic, Thursday through Sunday, Black Creek Club, Chattanooga, Tenn.

Third-round score: 3-over-par 75.

Position: Putnam (10-under 206) is tied for 24th, 14 strokes behind leader Arjun Atwal (192).

Recap: Putnam ranks 99th on the Nationwide Tour in third-round scoring, and again, struggled at that tournament juncture Saturday (four bogeys, double bogey), dropping 16 spots on the leaderboard and ending his chances at contending for his first professional title. Putnam, Chad Ginn (73) and Scott Stallings (73) were the only ones in the top 30 to post over-par rounds.

Tee time Sunday: 8:51 a.m. PDT off the first tee with Gary Christian.
