Last week: Morgan Pressel won the inaugural Kapalua LPGA Classic for her second career LPGA Tour title, beating Suzann Pettersen by a stroke. Pressel, Kapalua’s touring pro, won the Kraft Nabisco Championship last year.

Notes: The tournament is the first official LPGA Tour event in China. … Annika Sorenstam, leaving the tour at the end of the season, is in the field along with Pressel, Pettersen, Cristie Kerr, Yani Tseng, Helen Alfredsson, Seon Hwa Lee and Chinese star Shanshan Feng. … The Hana Bank KOLON Championship is next week in South Korea, followed by the Mizuno Classic in Japan.

Notes: The tournament is the final full-field event of the year. The top 30 on the money list will earn 2009 exemptions and spots next week in the season-ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship in Sonoma, Calif. … Blaine McCallister is making his Champions Tour debut. The Texan won five times on the PGA Tour, including the 1991 Texas Open at A.W. Notes: The top 60 players on the money list after the tournament will earn spots in the season-ending Nationwide Tour Championship on Nov. 6-9 at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas – which will include Tacoma's Michael Putnam, who is also playing this week's event. The final top 25 on the money list will earn 2009 PGA Tour cards. … The Miccosukee Tribe bought the 27-hole complex, previously known as Kendall Lakes and Miami National, in 2001.
