Notes: The tournament is the fifth of seven Fall Series events. Puyallup's Ryan Moore is in this week's field. … The tour will be in Florida the next two weeks for the Ginn Sur Mer Classic in Palm Coast and the Children’s Miracle Network Classic in Lake Buena Vista.

Notes: The tournament is the first official LPGA Tour event in China. … Annika Sorenstam, leaving the tour at the end of the season, is in the field along with Pressel, Pettersen, Cristie Kerr, Yani Tseng, Helen Alfredsson, Seon Hwa Lee and Chinese star Shanshan Feng. … The Hana Bank KOLON Championship is next week in South Korea, followed by the Mizuno Classic in Japan.

Notes: The tournament is the final full-field event of the year. The top 30 on the money list will earn 2009 exemptions and spots next week in the season-ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship in Sonoma, Calif. … Blaine McCallister is making his Champions Tour debut. The Texan won five times on the PGA Tour, including the 1991 Texas Open at A.W. Tillinghast-designed Oak Hills. … Jay Haas won the 2005 event and also took the Texas Open in 1982 and 1993 at Oak Hills.
