This week: PGA Tour's Frys.com Open, Thursday through Sunday, Grayhawk Golf Club, Scottsdale, Ariz.
First-round score: 1-over-par 71.
Position: Moore was somewhere near tied for 85th. Richard Johnson and John Mallinger were early leaders (64).
Recap: The Puyallup native opened with back-to-back birdies, making a 19-foot putt on the par-5 11th to go 2-under early. Three bogeys on par-4s, all on the opening nine holes, accounted for the scoring. He hit his approach into the water at the 515-yard, par-4 18th, but got up and down from 129 yards for his final bogey.
Tee time Friday: 11:15 a.m. PDT off the first tee.
