This week: PGA Tour's Northern Trust Open, Thursday through Sunday, Riviera Country Club, Los Angeles.

Moore's fourth-round score: Even-par 71.

Position: Moore (3-over 287) finished 71st, 18 strokes behind winner Phil Mickelson (269).

Recap: The one thing you can count on with Moore, he gives it an earnest effort, even when it's time to get the tournament over and done with. The Puyallup golfer fell to 5-over with two early bogeys, but rallied with three birdies in a six-hole stretch (Nos. 1, 5 and 6). In fact, he birdied the par-3 sixth in three of the four rounds, including Sunday when his tee shot from 199 yards out landed close, and he made a 9-foot putt. Moore took home $12,474.

Next: Moore did not make the field at the WGC Match Play Championships in Arizona, and is not entered at the Mayakoba Golf Classic in Mexico. The next full-field event is the Honda Classic starting March 5 in Palm Beach, Fla.
