This week: Nationwide Tour's Moonah Classic, Thursday through Sunday, Moonah Links, Fingal, Victoria, Australia.

First-round score: 2-over-par 74.

Second-round score: 5-under-par 67.

Position: Putnam (3-under 141) sits in a group tied for 22nd, five strokes behind co-leaders Michael Sim and Josh Teater.

Recap: The Tacoma golfer posted his first under-par round of 2009 when he came out blazing in his opening nine holes (four birdies, one eagle). He was 6-under during a five-hole stretch, including an eagle at the par-5 15th. Putnam has had an eagle in each of his first two rounds.

Tee time Saturday: 10:57 a.m. local time with Adam Bland.
