This week: PGA Tour's Puerto Rico Open, Thursday through Sunday, Trump International Golf Club, Rio Grande.

First-round score: Even-par 72.

Position: Moore is tied for 74th, six strokes behind co-leaders Jason Day and Derek Lamely.

Recap: It being a new course to learn, the Puyallup product struggled to get a feel on the greens Thursday (32 putts). A rough start (three bogeys in the first five holes) turned into a smooth finish as Moore made the turn, and birdied Nos. 2, 3 and 5. He hit 14 of 18 greens in regulation.

Tee time Friday: 4:50 a.m. PDT off the first tee.
