This week: Nationwide Tour's Chitimacha Louisiana Open, Thursday through Sunday, Le Triomphe Country Club, Broussard, La.

Second-round score: 5-under-par 66.

Position: Putnam (1-under 141) is tied for 57th, seven strokes behind leader Drew Laning (134).

Recap: The Tacoma golfer easily had his best ball-striking round of the season – he hit 12 of 14 fairways, and 15 of 18 greens in regulation. The result?
