This week: Nationwide Tour's Chitimacha Louisiana Open, Thursday through Sunday, Le Triomphe Country Club, Broussard, La.

Third-round score: Even-par 71.

Position: Putnam (1-under 212) is tied for 54th, eight strokes behind co-leaders Bubba Dickerson and Scott Sterling (204).

Recap: The Tacoma golfer made a move with back-to-back birdies on Nos. 7 and 8, but the hole that continues to bite Putnam is the par-5 12th. He bogeyed it Saturday after making a double bogey in the first round Thursday. This one really halted a charge up the leaderboard.

Tee time Sunday: 7:13 a.m. PDT with Josh Broadway.
