It seems as if the Putnam brothers are not only connected at the hip, but in the Pepperdine men's golf record book as well.

Sophomore Andrew Putnam captured the West Coast Conference's top honor – player of the year - and was one of two Waves to be named to the all-WCC squad.

Putnam, the younger brother of Nationwide Tour professional Michael Putnam, finished in the top 20 in all 12 tournaments he entered, and led Pepperdine with a 72.03-stroke average.

He is currently ranked No. 21 in the country.

Putnam was the WCC's freshman of the year in 2008.
