This week: Nationwide Tour's South Georgia Classic, Thursday through Sunday, Kinderlou Forest Golf Club, Valdosta, Ga.

First-round score: 2-over-par 74.

Position: Putnam is tied for 103rd, eight strokes behind leader Jonax Blixt (66).

Recap: Likely as frustrating a round as a golfer can play. The Tacoma golfer had a perfect driving round – 14-for-14 on fairways hit – and fired an over-par score. He had three bogeys before making his lone birdie on the par-4 16th.

Tee time Friday: 4:30 a.m. PDT off the 10th tee.
