Kelly and Laura and I are e-mailing each other, and we keep saying the same thing: We want to post something, but we don't have anything to write about. Maybe we're just lazy. Maybe we need Niki to come back from Olympia.

So it got me thinking, Has everything already been written about Tacoma?

UPDATE: We've been cordially invited to leave our cubicles and eat lunch at Frost Park at noon Friday.

You could... go out and make something happen. And then write about that.
Laura Gentry @ 16:28 - Wednesday, March 19th, 2008 Email
What if we just talked about Niki?
Savvy_Reader @ 17:38 - Wednesday, March 19th, 2008 Email
O.K. And we can talk about other people currently logged on to Trib blogs, and the weird coincidence that Peter Callaghan and Patrick O’Callahan are right now on-line at the same time. It is an anniversary today. You know, the 91st anniversary of the Supreme Court upholding the eight-hour work day for railroads.
Savvy_Reader @ 17:40 - Wednesday, March 19th, 2008 Email
You missed it, they're gone.

?

Anyway, you are invited to Frost Park

Not that anyone is ever not invited to Frost Park, but you guys came up, specifically.

Savvy_Reader @ 18:53 - Wednesday, March 19th, 2008 Email
Dang, I missed the Whitman Area Neighbors "Take Back Lincoln Park" last weekend, then this. (It's fun making tiny boats and floating them down that fountain.) And once again I missed the KF PSP breakfast this morning. Let's take something else back soon and someone remind me next time.
tacomachickadee @ 19:00 - Wednesday, March 19th, 2008 Email
Savvy Reader: You haven't missed out ... every Friday's a park lunch date. Grab some to-go, bring a lunch sack from home ... bring that tiny boat ... we've all pondered it I think ... bring that fountain boat to life! :)
Cole Cosgrove @ 19:16 - Wednesday, March 19th, 2008 Email
I will really try to be there, but my dedication to being social might be tested if it's raining.

As much as I like parks, I like dry sandwiches even better.

Tacoma, au jus.

Dude ... hoods ... or for those who must, umbrellas ... work wonders. :)

You could write about why the comments forum has been shut off. No one seems to have the guts. Technical glitch? TNT didn't like the criticism?

C'mon down guys! Rain or shine, it's great to be out with other Tacomans. Plenty of ways to stay warm and dry though don't follow my example of a jacket that's like a sponge, no umbrella, and no hat.

frankiethomas, Mark's had the guts:

This Friday is out for me, but I'd be happy to leave my cubicle some other Friday

Thank you Laura! Seems they could have put that info a little more front-and-center. . .

You guys should post your email exchanges. In full.
Savvy_Reader @ 11:43 - Thursday, March 20th, 2008 Email
Andrea, if they talk about us, I really don’t want to know what they say.
Now that I know the lunch is a regular thing, I’m going to take a long lunch sometime and come on down (which means I’ll have to actually make a lunch). I got this cool book of paper boats at King’s – maybe I’ll put one together and bring it. Alert – Dock Street Landing has Wii. And $1 PBR Wii-Wednesdays. I got a PBR button.
(Cool – 16 comments on a no-topic thread!)
derekyoung @ 13:07 - Thursday, March 20th, 2008 Email
Wii + $1 PBR = grandtabulous
tacomachickadee @ 19:50 - Thursday, March 20th, 2008 Email
I've never seen a Wii ...

Seriously.
tacomachickadee @ 19:51 - Thursday, March 20th, 2008 Email
Derek: "Grantabulous" ... LOVE IT!

My word o' the day isn't quite as creative, just a mere: "Twitterific."

I need to get back to fantabulastic.
tacomachickadee @ 19:52 - Thursday, March 20th, 2008 Email
Oops ... "Grandtabulous" ... my fingers aren't behaving.

Mother Nature, while passively active on this blog, has sympathy for Tacomans and Tacowomans who wish to eat their lunches al fresco on Fridays. If I stand up, I can see sunshine over my cubicle wall. It is a beautiful day.

Wow, slow week for the Grit City bloggers!

ObTacoma: I worked the CI Shenanigan's Taste of Tacoma booth one day in 1987. I was really hung over and hadn't slept yet when I showed up for my shift. Good times!
