Out-takes, observations and other insight from South Puget Sound

At Skyline Montessori some children seem to be having difficulty with gravity.

When trying to catch wide-angle shots of kids at play (as opposed to standing back and using a telephoto lens), it's necessary to move the camera rapidly in order to keep it close to the rapidly moving tykes. So I usually hold it upside down, gripping the large SLR from the bulbous base, use the second shutter release button (it's designed for shooting vertical photos while looking through the viewfinder), and chase the kids with the camera held at knee-level, spraying lots of frames.

A few of them are actually well-composed, but most of them need lots of cropping. And actually looking through the viewfinder is luxury I cannot afford when things move so fast.
