When returning from an assignment in Bonney Lake I ran across this scene. It seems symbolic of one of the likely results of high gas prices: we're likely to see a curtailing of housing development far from cities.

COMMENTS:
No worry about sprawl at all.There is more empty housing units on the market since the great depression especially because of the economic downturn.Why new apartments are being built is beyond me as they will only be occupied by imaginary renters or perhaps some squatters.
