According to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas national rankings, Bellarmine Prep has one of the best boys soccer teams in the country. The Lions are No. 3 in the April 16 national poll. Spring Valley High of Columbia, S.C., is No. 1 and Chatahoochee High of Alpharetta, Ga., is No. 2. Three other Washington schools also appear in the top-20. Snohomish is No. 10, Cascade is No. 16 and Marysville-Pilchuck is No. 17. Bellarmine Prep also leads the regional poll. The Lions recently returned from a trip to Ireland where they went 3-1 in matches. Bellarmine Prep claimed the Narrows League title with a 2-1 win at South Kitsap on Thursday night. |
