The preps blog is designed to fill in the gaps of our high school sports coverage, providing insight into some of the stories and projects we are pursuing, and to serve as a forum to talk about some of the significant high school sports stories happening in our community.

Well, that didn't take long.
Seems that our high school football rankings for Week 2 will be drastically different than our preseason rankings.
But after watching quite a few games -- seven, to be exact -- last week and seeing the results of other games, our rankings will be much more stable in the coming weeks.
We're going through the rankings and will update them on Monday afternoon.
