The preps blog is designed to fill in the gaps of our high school sports coverage, providing insight into some of the stories and projects we are pursuing, and to serve as a forum to talk about some of the significant high school sports stories happening in our community.

Seventh-ranked Clover Park (9-1 overall, 7-0) hosts Lakes (7-4, 6-1) in a boys SPSL 3A showdown with Lakewood bragging rights on the line. The Lancers easily won both meetings last season, but the Warriors are much better this season and primed for payback.

Center Brandon Durham and No. 10 Central Kitsap (9-2, 5-1) visit Lincoln (8-4, 5-2) for the Narrows League’s biggest game of the night.

Tied for first in the Narrows League Bridge Division, the South Kitsap girls (7-5, 5-2) visit an Olympia team (7-4, 5-1) on a four-game winning streak.
