Here's a detailed look at the boys basketball 2A and 1A district/regional tournaments to qualify for the state tournaments. I'll have a report on the girls Tuesday afternoon.

CLASS 2A

Clinched: None
Still dreaming: South Whidbey, Burlington-Edison, Sehome, Archbishop Murphy, Bellingham, Sultan, Squalicum, Anacortes, Granite Falls.
The lowdown: Anacortes and Granite Falls have a play-in game Tuesday for the right to meet top-ranked Squalicum in the first round on Thursday.

View the bracket here.

West Central District
State berths:
Three
Clinched: None
Still dreaming: Klahowya, Steilacoom, Eatonville, Sequim, North Mason, Fife
The lowdown: This tournament, with teams from the Nisqually League and Olympic League, begins Saturday. North Mason and Fife have first-round byes.

Southwest District
State berths:
Four
Clinched: None
Still dreaming: Aberdeen, R.A. Long, Tumwater, Hockinson, River Ridge, Ridgefield, Centralia, Black Hills, Mark Morris
The lowdown: The tournament begins Tuesday with Aberdeen visiting R.A. Long for a play-in game. The winner of that game meets River Ridge in the first round on Saturday. Mark Morris must be considered the tournament favorite and will play Black Hills in the first round.

CWAC
State berths:
Three
Clinched: None
Still dreaming: Ellensburg, Toppenish, Quincy, Selah, Grandview, Wapato
The lowdown: Interesting tournament format in the CWAC. It truly rewards teams with the best regular-season records. On Friday, Ellensburg plays Quincy and Toppenish is at Selah. The winner of the first game gets Grandview and the winner of the second game gets Wapato in a pair of winner-to-state contests. But the double-elimination tournament will see one team from the loser's bracket make its way to state.

Great Northern
State berths:
Two
Clinched: None
Still dreaming: TBD
The lowdown: Still working on running down the information for the GNL.

CLASS 1A

Tri-District
(Cascade Conference, Northwest Conference, Nisqually League, Emerald City, Olympic League)
State berths: Five
Clinched: King’s, Seattle Academy, Vashon
Still dreaming: Cascade Christian, Meridian, Charles Wright, Bellevue Christian, Port Townsend, Nooksack Valley, University Prep
The lowdown: What a killer tournament this is. Based on its draw, unranked Seattle Academy (13-10), which beat Bellevue Christian on Saturday for the top seed from District 2, will receiver either the No. 1 or 2 seed to state. Top-ranked Vashon, District 3’s No. 1 seed, will play King’s, District 1’s No. 1 seed, on Friday for the right to play Seattle Academy on Saturday. The loser of the King’s-Vashon game will be the No. 3 seed. Fourth-ranked Port Townsend must win two games to get to state as the tri-district’s No. 4 or 5 seed.

Southwest District
State berths:

Bellarmine Prep and Graham-Kapowsin are on the same side of the consolation bracket. The two could meet for the No. 4 seed to state on Saturday.
