The Prep Blog
The preps blog is designed to fill in the gaps of our high school sports coverage, providing insight into some of the stories and projects we are pursuing, and to serve as a forum to talk about some of the significant high school sports stories happening in our community.

Doug Pacey joined The News Tribune in 2007 after covering prep sports at The Bellingham Herald for five years. He graduated from Issaquah High School in 1998 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Kansas in 2002. E-mail Doug.

The national accolades keep on coming for Avery Bradley, Abdul Gaddy, Peyton Siva and Joshua Smith. All four were named to the Parade Magazine All-American teams.

Bradley, a former Bellarmine Prep standout who transferred in August to Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nev., was a first-team selection. Bradley has signed to play at Texas.

Gaddy, who will play at Washington, and Smith, a junior forward with plenty of suitors, made the second team and Louisville-bound Siva is on the third team.

Bradley, Gaddy and Siva will play in the McDonald's All-American game on Wednesday at Miami. The game will be televised on ESPN.

The April 5 issue of Parade Magazine -- it's included in the Sunday edition of The News Tribune -- will feature the All-American teams.
