What to watch today
Berths to the Class 4A West Central District boys soccer tournament are on the line tonight in the second round of the Narrows League tournaments. Favorites Stadium and Bellarmine Prep are in opposite halves of the brackets, but both are playing at Mount Tahoma tonight. The Tigers will host Shelton at 7 p.m. at Mount Tahoma, while the Lions will meet Wilson at 5 p.m.
Tuesday’s highlights
Rogers clinched the SPSL South boys soccer title with a 3-1 win at Emerald Ridge. Jeremy Dumas, Chase McCann and Ben Trahan all scored for the Rams, who trailed 1-0 at halftime.
Central Kitsap eliminated Foss from the Narrows League playoffs, defeating the Falcons 6-2. The Cougars will travel to South Kitsap for a 7 p.m. quarterfinals match today.
Trevor Whitt and Andrew Weishaar each scored a pair of goals in Puyallup’s 6-0 victory over Bethel.
Martin Schmuck scored twice, including the game-winner in the 72nd minute, to lift Sumer past White River 3-2 and force a three-way tie for second in the SPSL 3A standings.
Four Auburn Mountainview players scored goals in the Lions’ 4-3 win. Sergey Rubakha’s goal in the 59th minute proved to be the difference and kept Auburn Mountainview tied for second in the SPSL 3A.
Micah Donor ripped two triples and scored five runs, helping Steilacoom beat Charles Wright 13-9. Kit Banko hit a home run and a double for the Tarriers.
Enumclaw’s Ashley Delloas went 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBI in the Hornets’ 6-4 win at Franklin Pierce.
Kelsey Robinson was 3-for-3 and struck out 11, leading Puyallup to a 12-2 victory over Decatur. Amber Tomlinson added three RBI on 2-for-3 hitting.
Tahoma pitcher Kim Reese-White hurled a no-hitter against Kent-Meridian, beating the Royals 10-0 in five innings. Reese-White walked three and struck out three.
