What to watch today
South meets North when division champions Puyallup and Tahoma clash for the SPSL’s No. 1 seed to the Class 4A West Central District baseball tournament.
When: 7 p.m.
Where: Kent Memorial Park
South Kitsap and Olympia will meet in the title game of the Narrows League baseball playoffs.Winner gets the league’s top seed to the district tournament, which is scheduled for May 16.
When: 6 p.m.
Where: Heidelberg Park
Two Narrows League boys soccer teams will clinch district tournament berths today. Stadium and Gig Harbor will meet at 1:30 p.m. and Bellarmine Prep and South Kitsap will square off at 3:30 p.m. at Mount Tahoma.
Friday’s highlights
Four Wilson pitchers combined to one-hit Lincoln, beating the Abes 10-0. Taylor Darnielle was 3-for-3 with four RBI and Taylor Clark smashed a home run.
Bobbi-Jo Schaapveld shut out Puyallup, leading Rogers to an 11-0 victory. Lana VanDyken rapped a pair of doubles and scored three runs, while Olivia Toma finished 3-for-4 with four RBI
Brad Lewis scored two goals, helping Federal Way stun Tahoma 3-0.
Micah Donor struck out nine batters and scattered two hits, pitching Steilacoom to a 9-0 win over Washington. Bo Pearson went 3-for-3 and scored three runs.
Franklin Pierce claimed the SPSL 3A boys soccer title with a 6-0 win over Peninsula.
