I spoke with Roosevelt Barnes, the agent for Michael Boulware, who said that Boulware was very happy with the deal that sent him to the Texans for Jason Babin. He said that Boulware could see that with all the money that the Hawks spent on Deon Grant and Brian Russell in the offseason that his time was going to be limited, and that Tim Ruskell was kind enough to deal him to a place where his career could continue and he could see some playing time. With injuries to many of the Texans' defensive backs, Boulware should be able to contribute immediately. "It's a win-win trade for both sides," Barnes said. I also asked Barnes if Boulware's "hamstring injury" was a smokescreen because the deal was in the works, and he said it was a legit injury but that he will be ready for the opener.

I agree...Boulware was a "dead man walking" all preseason, it was either be cut or get traded and thankfully we got something for him in return.

Did you really expect to get any other response from his agent? Frank, c'mon.

IDHawk, Why are you getting on Frank about posting the agents comments? I agree the agents comments are just what you would expect, but Franks only other option is to post nothing from his discussion with the agent. I'd rather hear what we got than hear nothing. Get off Franks back.....

NICE move by Ruskell to get value for someone who wasn't going to be counted on this year for much. Perhaps the emergence of C.J. Wallace had something to do with this.

I look forward to hearing about Babin and what he will bring to the team.

I agree PapaHawk, but the lack of emergence from Boulware was probably the biggest factor of all.

I'm sure I'm alone on this one, but best of luck to him. Despite the short memories of a lot of people, Boulware made a lot of big plays for the Seahawks during his three years here.

Kind words from Barnes. A far cry from the vitriol during the Walter Jones contract issues.

I'm with southhill_seahawk (is that the South Hill, home of the Rams?) on this one. I remember being at a couple of those games where Boulware came through in the clutch for us in a big way. I'm glad to see he gets a chance to start fresh and reestablish himself somewhere else.
