Seahawks Insider

Seahawks RB Shaun Alexander practiced but was wearing a cast or a brace on his left hand. It is unclear exactly what the injury is (hand or wrist) and Shaun was not talking today; tomorrow is his day to speak to the media. He practiced but other running backs got more reps than they normally do. He caught a pass as well but had the majority of his carries in his right hand.

I also spoke with Leroy Hill after practice and he said he is planning on practicing tomorrow and will be able to play Sunday. He said his foot is sore and missing practice today was strictly precautionary.

Maurice Morris is listed in today's injury report as a hip injury. The team does not have to list his availability for Sunday until Friday.

Any chance a source could shed light on Shawn's issu? Seems like Seahawks have reached an aggreement to model braces and splints.

Frank-please give us a spell checker. Puulllezzz.
hawkowl @ 16:01 - Wednesday, September 12th, 2007 Email
At least it's not on his broken foot. :)
Now we wait for the national media to pick this up and remind everyone that he turned 30 recently and will be lucky if he is a serviceable back ever again.

Did anyone else notice Shaun's hideous green elbow pads he had on before Sunday's game? Is there some sort of league rule that doesn't allow him to wear those pads during the game?

I hope Hill stays healthy, not only because he makes the Defense better, but because I think he has a chance to make the Pro Bowl this year.

Well, if an injury is not on the official report I'd rather not see it reported elsewhere...

Type it in Word 1st, madddog, and spellcheck it. Then cut and paste to the blog. Just a tip for the spelling challenged :-) (supercalifragilisticexpialidocious)

Oh, and Shaun might catch the ball better this way! And maybe the cast will help him think he can block!
Groundhog @ 17:07 - Wednesday, September 12th, 2007
adamp2,

I saw those neon green elbow pads on Shaun before the game. Thankfully they were off by gametime. It's probably a bad idea for a running back to paint targets on his arms.

Thanks ajdaddy- I'll try that.

Maddog, if you're using MS IE you might want to install ieSpell. It installs on a tool bar, it's free and allows you to spell check anything you type in any forum. I like it.

Likewise, Firefox has a spell-checker built in (not a toolbar, just automatic while you type).

Any idea when we might hear more about this, umm, non-injury. Frank?
PapaHawk @ 18:13 - Wednesday, September 12th, 2007 Email
injuries...here we go again!

As for spelling: It's never too late to learn. Why is it always someone else's fault when we look bad? If you are a bad spelling and don't want to learn, then follow the kind tip provided by "ajdaddy". Its kind of like wearing a toupee'.
luisc @ 18:37 - Wednesday, September 12th, 2007
Yeah, use Firefox. Do web developers a favor everywhere and stay clear of Internet Explorer.

In any case, this certainly raises a red flag about Alexander. The Pearman acquisition could pay some dividends this year.
Jefgcn @ 19:12 - Wednesday, September 12th, 2007 Email
Although it's not good to hear about Shaun wearing a brace / cast on his hand during practice. I'm sure if the injury was really bad that we'd hear more about it. And let's be realistic, this is football people. Every team has injured players pretty much after every game. So as long as nobody is out for the season, let's not worry too much.
ajdaddy @ 19:20 - Wednesday, September 12th, 2007 Email
Yeah, I forgot about Firefox. Much the preferred browser! Although learning to spell is good too ;-). I'd like to see what Pearman can do. I think I saw Hass yelling at weaver during the TB game. Also saw Weaver get knocked on his can on a WR screen by a DB!
hawks4life @ 21:14 - Wednesday, September 12th, 2007 Email
a little of subject but can some tell me what defense were running ive heard the big nickle what ever that is 4-3 or is it tampa2
star4343 @ 08:31 - Thursday, September 13th, 2007 Email
Yes it is such a big deal MH did not even mention it during his press conference. He is wearing a brace, his wrist is sore that is all he will start and be fine. This is a noen story.
mcgill83 @ 09:34 - Thursday, September 13th, 2007 Email
ajdaddy, I thought i saw Hass yelling at Weaver too. If he cant do his job out there, maybe Pearman can back up Strong.
JoSCh @ 11:28 - Thursday, September 13th, 2007 Email
So should I jump off this building or not?
Bernie42 @ 00:16 - Friday, September 14th, 2007 Email
Is this the first time you guys have seen a quarterback yell at a fellow player? Matt was probably trying to fill the leader role and make sure Weaver learned from his mistake. Hardly seems like reason to bench the guy.
