(On trouble he has had for his trademark celebrations…) “You have to remember, everything I do is just fun; fun in a loving nature way. You have to realize the difference between things that I do and other people. All mine is about having fun and entertaining the fans and those who watch the game, that’s all.”

[More:]

(On celebrating within league rules…) “The rules were changed. Really, the only rules they made was you can’t use the ball as a prop. You can’t props and you can’t get on the ground so that leaves the door open for everything else I want to do. It’s really not much of a rule. Everything else is really still a go.”

(On jumping into Cleveland’s dawg pound…) “That was cool. A dude threw a beer on me. I didn’t like that. The beer was kind of cold and it messed up my uniform the rest of the game. I smelled very bad. Other than that, something different, pushing the envelope. It’s never been done before. No one ever jumps in the opposing team’s stands. Actually, they embraced me other than that one person that was drunk.”

(On Brian Russell’s big hit on him…) “It was clean. I would have taken the shot on me if I was him too; all the trash that I talk. It’s about time somebody caught me clean. I think I was knocked out. That’s the only time I’ve really been hit ever. Since I’ve been in the league I’ve been able to dodge, let me knock on wood, I’ve been able to dodge mostly everything since I’ve been playing and that was my first legit, clean shot since I’ve been playing. It’s very hard to hit me clean, very hard. I was chasing the ball that was real high. I was trying to get to it regardless and I really shouldn’t have tried to but it was out of reach and I left myself wide open.”

(On the hall of fame jacket celebration…) “I thought of that after the hall of fame game. I think we might have still been in training camp. I said, ‘You know what? That’ll be a big bang to start the season off with a celebration right.’ With it not even being a joke because at some point, in some two-thousand-something, I’m going to be there regardless. So two-thousand-question mark-question mark, I just don’t know what year it will be but I will be there.”

(On the cheerleader he proposed to during a celebration…) “Man, she took half of everything I had. I should’ve never did that. Why are you all laughing? I’m serious. You know what would be a good celebration? To do something using the cheerleaders in Seattle like just walk up and just kiss one, just do it. I can’t get fined for kissing. No, I’m just playing. I don’t know. Trust me, it’ll be something good. I never do anything to antagonize or piss anybody so whatever it is it’ll be a classic.”
