On what was going through his mind when RB Brian Westbrook was back for the punt return:

“It was giving ourselves a chance to win the game.”

On what happened on the third interception he threw:

“It was just an inside post move and the guy did a pretty good job, I didn’t see him. He did a good job of going with my eyes, and redirecting and going back and getting the ball. It’s on me. Even with the timing thing you don’t try to force the ball.”

“It’s tough to swallow. Second week in a row, it’s not a good feeling and it’s on my back.”

On whether the Seahawks are known to be good in coverage:

“They’re good coverage. Obviously, I had a day I didn’t do a very good job protecting the ball. Conditions weren’t the greatest, but you’ve still got to play through all this stuff, it’s football.”

On the Eagles first offensive play in their final drive when he was sacked:

“No, I didn’t see it. [WR] Reggie [Brown] did a good job of making a move off that linebacker, so my eyes went strong to try to pull him for a lane. Essentially, it’s the same play we scored on last week and the guy went for my eyes and just turned around and took Reggie. I didn’t see him, I thought the middle was wide open. I tried to bang it to him, and not until I released it did I see him standing right in front of me.”

On whether he thought about getting rid of the ball on that last sequence when he got sacked:

“It’s the end of the game, first down, I’m just trying to make a play. See what happens, if you break a tackle you might gain three or four yards. Someone’s going to make a play and I want to be that guy.”

On whether the Seahawks being able to scout him was a disadvantage for this game:

“Maybe. Some of the picks were on a timing game, but that’s me. If you don’t have a play and it’s not there then you don’t throw it. It’s my job to see everything and protect the football.”

On whether the Seahawks had coverage they didn’t expect:

“No, it’s what we expected. My main thing that we didn’t prepare for, the middle linebacker did a good job, had an idea of what was going on. But bottom line, that’s me.”

On what happened at the end of the half:

“It is what it is, we didn’t get it in. We all tried there. We didn’t punch it in. I thought maybe one of those was in. But, we couldn’t see from the camera angle, but looking from the field it looked like the guy was in. But, if you get another try you’ve got to punch it in and we didn’t. It’s kind of a tough momentum killer going into the half without any points, let alone possibly getting seven. But, that didn’t kill us, that didn’t keep us out. We were in the game the game the whole time until the end.”

On whether they considered a sneak on that play:

“Yeah, it’s always an option in our gameplan. But it was essentially, ‘Do I put the ball in Brian’s [Westbrook] hands or do I put the ball in my hands? Who’s a better runner with it?’ Guys were pinching the front and diving over the top. So, it was kind of one of those deals where, ‘Do I want to put the ball in his hands, or do you want to put in my hands?’ He’s a better runner than I am.”

On whether Westbrook might have been used more today in certain situations like 3rd-and-1:

“I don’t know. On a lot of our 3rd-and-1’s we threw the ball. I don’t know what the percentages were, but I think we can use him better on third downs. We got several third downs, but even in the backfield he’s always a weapon. He’s always the guy that can explode and make that big play. You like to get the ball in his hands regardless if you throw it to him or hand it to him, and it’s kind of our motto right now with him.”

On whether this game is tougher than last week’s for him to swallow:

“Yeah, they’re all tough when you lose. The nature of losing, it’s not tough to swallow. I play for those guys in the locker room and that’s not the way you want to lose.”

On whether this defeat carries more finality for the season:

“I don’t know, it’s another loss. We’ve got to come back next week and forget about this one. But, we’ve got to learn from it. Every loss is a bad one, even last week’s and this week’s. It doesn’t make it any easier to swallow, I’ll tell you that much.”

On whether it is hard for him knowing that this is likely his last game for a while:

“It’s going to eat at me for a while. If I don’t play next week and [QB] Donovan [McNabb] comes back and I have to sit on this, it’s going to motivate the heck out of me, I’ll tell you that much. It’s a tough one to sit on.”

On whether their linebackers were quicker than they looked on film:

“Yeah, I thought [Seahawks LB Lofa Tatupu] did [look quick]. Their middle linebacker’s a good player. I have talked to him. But playing football, they’ve got great players and we’ve got great players and we’ve got to make plays. When the ball’s in my hands, I’ve got to do a good job of directing it in the right spot and not putting us in a chance. That’s not what you want as a quarterback. You want to be aggressive and you want to put the game on your shoulders and I’m going to keep shooting and firing and firing. But, sometimes you’ve got to know when to pull it down and live to fight another day, rather than try to make that big play.”
