Eric D. Williams took over the Seahawks beat and Seahawks Insider blog in December. Williams has covered the Seahawks, Sonics and high school sports for The News Tribune since joining the paper in 2006. Eric lives in Tacoma with his wife and two children.

KIRKLAND, WASH. — The Seattle Seahawks invite fans to unite and demonstrate their spirit this week to support the team in preparation for their Wild Card Game on Saturday, January 5.
Wednesday, January 2
The Seahawks 12th Man® Flag will be raised atop Seattle’s Space Needle to salute Seahawks fans and the team during the NFL playoffs. World-renowned mountain climber and Port Townsend resident,
Jim Whittaker will raise the flag.
Thursday, January 3
Qwest will host a “12” flag signing for fans at its downtown headquarters located at 1600 7th Avenue from 11a.m.-1 p.m.
-Prizes will be given away and Blue Thunder will be in attendance.
-Fans will also have a chance to see how fast they can raise the 12th Man® flag with an interactive flag raising activity.
Friday, January 4 (Blue Friday)
Fans are encouraged to show their passion and support for the team by wearing Seahawks attire or blue clothing to work and school on Blue Friday.
News talk 710 KIRO’s Ron & Don will broadcast live from Qwest Field Plaza from 3-6 p.m.
-Hourly ticket and merchandise giveaways.
-Complimentary face painting.
The Seahawks Pro Shop and concession stands will be open. (Food and beverage will be available for purchase.)
