I forgot to mention this in the previous post. The Seahawks placed Baraka Atkins on the injured reserve after he hurt his ankle in Sunday's game against Atlanta. They signed WR Logan Payne from the practice squad. And they signed defensive tackle Kelly Talavou to the practice squad. Talavou played at the University of Utah. Here is a bio of Talavou.

Does this mean that Babin will be active for Saturdays game? We might be a little to thin at DE now. That fisher trade might come back to Haunt us.
jerrycurl @ 17:55 - Tuesday, January 1st, 2008 Email
I'm assuming that Payne was activated for Special Teams purposes. It doesn't make much sense to have 7 WRs on the roster, unless a couple are a bit more banged up than we were lead to believe. Frank are you able to confirm this?

it seems at last that the only helpful thing about the babin trade was dumping the liability that was boulware from our secondary. babin has'nt given us squat so far. maybe saturday. we could've used atkins in this game, though. i hope rocky's able to bring it all. i live smack in the middle of redskin counrty, as the most loyal and vocal seahawk fan in my immediate area that i'm aware of. man!!!!!!!!! we need to send them home! again.

where are the Holmgren transcripts lately?

Was there any consideration to Jordan Kent? Has he fallen on the WR roster from after Courtney Taylor?
NEWJERSEYMIKE @ 04:38 - Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008 Email
Babin wont be active. With Rocky back I think you will see E.Wyms used as the backup DE. Green and Terrill will rotate in at tackle. Babin was not even active for the meaningless Falcon game so barring any other injuries he's a longshot
PapaHawk @ 08:15 - Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008 Email
I think Babin will be active. Just in case a DE gets hurt. Wonder why they chose to activate a 7th WR instead of another defensive player. Sure is nice having Wyms be a flexible player. I don't think we really lose much from Atkins, the guy was pretty much not a playmaker this season. Babin has been pretty invisible as well. Maybe they'll line up Payne at DE. Who knows....maybe he's just the "most ready" of any of the practice squad guys of playing in an NFL playoff game.

It'll be great to have a well-rested sort of healthy Rocky Bernard back in the starting lineup.

Frank, it was great to hear you on KJR this morning. I listened to the live stream down here in SW Washington, and you made Furness sound better than he did when he was in Portland. I think it is great that Payne is on the active roster after the hard work he has put in this year on the practice squad. I agree that Babin may not be activated, and Wyms' versatility has paid off.
kinger12 @ 09:47 - Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008 Email
Frank can you get copies of your chats on KJR and anywhere else and stream it from here?
mister andersen @ 09:58 - Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008 Email
Too bad considering Atkins looked to be getting better each week. Hopefully nothing serious. Maybe this means Babin is finally active?

Where is Joe Tafoya when you need him????
PapaHawk @ 10:01 - Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008 Email
Joe Tafoya is probably golfing today in Arizona. The Annual tradition of Arizona Cardinals golfing immediately following the end to their season. They haven't had to change the date of this event in quite some time!

Maybe with Payne on the squad we'll go to a five receiver set.

Can anyone please explain why we get Jason babin and not used him the whole season except 1 play.
