Disappointing Branch couldn't tough it out for a one and done game. Has this guy ever been a bust since he arrived here. DHack really needs to step it up today.

I doubt it was Branch's call to sit out from the way Holmgren has been talking -- but it definitely does suck. Branch has really given us very little since his signing, players don't really have control over injuries, but production is production, and this is the kind of game we could really have used him in. You're right, DJ needs to make it through the game and be another reliable target for Hass.

Apparently Hasselbeck told Ed Werder from ESPN that he has a sprained right wrist and is worried about his accuracy.

I'm not great at reading lips, but at the end of the Atlanta game there was a shot of Tim Ruskell asking Hasselbeck 'what happened' and Hoss said 'I landed funny and sprained it'. Then when Hoss went to shake hands at the end of the game he gave Joey Harrington his left hand and said 'I sprained my wrist'.

Frank and others said that it didn't affect him in practice, but the proof will be in the game and the game plan. We may see lots of short throws and more runs...gulp.
