What? No 12 or 80?
Glad to see 37 or 38 not handed out just yet.
Curious as to why Duckett hasn't been assigned a # yet. I hope he doesn't get #45
I thought the jersey #'s 80, 96, 45 were off limits to new players, are the Ring of Honor players jersey numbers that are there but "not available"? Are there any Hawks jerseys retired other than #12 I can't remember?? I thought they retired Largnets # when he was inducted into the hall of fame... Help!! I can't find anything online.
I think the Hawks are going to keep people from useing #37 and hope one day he comes back and retires a Hawk, kinda like the M's are doing with #24 and JR, lol!! Oh wait, that could happen... Yes!!
Who use to wear #45?
Kenny Easley. And that number should be off limits until it gets retired. I'm usually hesitant to retire jerseys, but Easley's dominance, combined with the poor treatment he got from the Hawks, makes me wish the Hawks would honor him by retiring the number.
Absolutely no use of #45. Anybody who doesn't know Easley should do themselves a favor and try and find old video. He ruled the field like few have. Seeing the list also makes me a major Coutu fan. If Mare can scramble behind the line for 30 seconds before kicking a FG, he can wear #10.
Agreed! Kenny Easley is/was the man! My... FAVORITE... Hawk... EVER!!!
While I love guys like Walt, Curt Warner, Hass, Largent, Hutch (I can like who I want to like!), Mack, etc. I don't have any of them in the class I have Easley in, in my mind at least. He was also the only guy who sent me an autographed photo when I was a little kid writing fan mail. Very cool.
It's not really up to the Seahawks to decide who's numbers are retired or not. The NFL owners have been asked by the NFL Players Association to NOT retire a number unless that player is in the Hall of Fame. There are teams with many HoFers and if they were also retiring jerseys from other significant players, they'd have trouble finding enough numbers to go around. That and it's a buzz kill if you are a top five draft choice and you go to a team that has your number retired.
So #45, #38, sure, but they need to be Hall of Famers first, and THEN the Seahawks can decide to retire the jersey. Not before.
Wow... ther'es a blast from the past... I haven't really thought about Kenny Easley for a while... but yeah, he was a really awesome player...
I find it ineresting that TJ doesn't have a number assigned at this point... Cool that O. Schmitt got his college number...
Thanks for that youtube on Easley, much appreciated. He was special and rare and still unrecognized as the true HoF guy that he should be thought of by the whole football world, I know Woodson thinks so and has said so many times. Easley truly was was a great football player. He was a pleasure to watch play and is a huge part of why I love this team. He wasn't the only player that got hurt by medications for pain and probably won't be the last by a long shot. Kenny Easley should be in the HOF!

I really feel for the coaches, fans, family members who have to hear of someone on the team made a mistake, you"d think that all the other teams that have these mistakes, that everyone would take heed.It could be as simple as having a limo take you where you want to go out.I have done that and I am just a regular human being but as I say that I have also learned the hard way and had to make my fair share of apologies to my family, and friends.I just hope all goes well with the Seahawks and want to wish Mr. Holmgren the best for his last season and we will miss him!!!I just wish Lofa the best cause he is the # that I proudly wear for a jersey.
