Besides Bobby Engram and the regulars who are missing this camp, TE Jeb Putzier was the other player missing. He was walking with a slight limp.

The beginning of practice was very sloppy. Matt Hasselbeck threw an interception to Marcus Trufant, then he fumbled a snap, then a play just broke down. Gil Haskell rather than Mike Holmgren was the one who jumped all over the offense.

With Rob Sims out, the offensive line is now, right to left, Locklear, Wrotto, Gray, Wahle and Pork Chop.

[More:]

I don't know if I just happen to be catching Wrotto at the wrong time, but every time I see him in drills he is getting beat. Today I watched Chris Cooper go past him two consecutive times during pass-rushing drills. Larry Tripplett also continues to have a high motor during a lot of these drills. The D line decision should be an interesting one, and a lot of it will depend on the health of Marcus Tubbs and the status of Rocky Bernard, but Cooper and Tripplett present an interesting dilemma because they both obviously can play. Cooper has been moving between end and tackle depending on who else is out there.

Trufant seems to have picked up right where he left off. He has been making a lot of plays both during drills and during full-team workouts. I have to think it is making the younger receivers get better going against him, even if it has to be frustrating at times as well.
