Eric D. Williams took over the Seahawks beat and Seahawks Insider blog in December. Williams has covered the Seahawks, Sonics and high school sports for The News Tribune since joining the paper in 2006. Eric lives in Tacoma with his wife and two children.

interesting that Hass is the second-string Holder on kicks, according to this depth chart.

I still don't understand why they don't use "Mr. Athleticism" Seneca Wallace for this duty.

First, it would open up the opportunity for some fake field goal plays, ala the Patera era. At the very least, Seneca would seem to provide a great run/pass/catch option on a broken play.

Second, it would save Hass from undue exposure to getting kicked in the hand or any other freak injury, if he ever got called into duty at this position.
