Seattle's second round draft pick John Carlson is out on the field practicing this morning, so I'm assuming a deal has been struck between Carlson and the team.
But no official word has been handed down yet. I'll have more details later.

now, this makes me very happy. if this kid does earn the starting spot, and succeeds, then it would have all been worth the hassle, and hopefully, worth a ten-year wait.
what number is he wearing?
also, i've been quite happy with the blog as of late. i believe in supporting the hand that feeds you as opposed to biting it. as such, i have nothing but positive things to say about the various staff members who provide for me FREE-OF-CHARGE seattle seahawks information.
thank you guys, and here's to the 2008 season.
go seahawks!
COMMENTS:
A week ago Fred Davis and the 'Skins agreed to a $3.5 million, four-year contract, and the deal includes a $1.8 million signing bonus. Davis was the third TE taken in the draft.
The NYJ grabbed the first TE, Dustin Keller, and signed him to a 5 year, 8.5 million (6 guar.) contract.
These guys were taken with picks # 30, 38, and 48, and if we assume Carlson has a 4 year contract, his annual salary falls almost exactly half way between the other two guys. Funny how that works.

Eric, good job assuming that he had a deal done. BTW, nice article in the paper but it is spelled Kerney and Obomanu is in his 3rd year not his 2nd as the picture and caption suggests. Feel free to post your unedited version on the blog and us die hards will make sure your info is straight
