JoHawk51, The players lounge at VMAC is pretty sizable, though when we were there it did not have anything in it. Supposedly they were bringing in a lot of televisions so that on Saturday afternoons the players can go in there and watch their respective college teams play. Not sure what else is going in there, probably a pool table or something similar.

Moeflo, There has not really been a shortage of Logan Payne stuff. He is making nice catches every day, rarely drops a pass (except when Josh Wilson popped him yesterday) and is I would say the No. 4 receiver behind Courtney Taylor right now. It seems as if he has stepped ahead of Ben Obomanu, though it also appears as if they like Obomanu for return duties. Mike Wahle has not really stood out, though I have not intentionally watched him yet. I'll try to take some time today to zero in on him.

[More:]

thedude, you haven't heard much about the secondary because they have been pretty lockdown. The QBs have been forced to throw underneath a great deal because the D Backs are covering everything. Jim Mora said they are more advanced this year for the simple reason that they are familiar with each other and familiar with the schemes.

Moeflo, I think Charlie Frye has a better grasp of the offense and what he is supposed to do, but other writers who come out often are not impressed with him. He has an odd release, not a great arm and another writer who saw him in Cleveland a lot said he still has the penchant for leaving his feet when he throws the ball -- which in a game will end up with either an interception, him getting killed or both. Still, he seems to be a viable third QB.

sfarone, From my understanding, Spencer is doing mostly rehab, but also is sitting in on the meetings so that he has an understanding of what the offensive line is trying to do. He comes out to practice with teammates and observes from the sideline. But I think there is a sense of frustration as well because there is nothing like actually getting out there and seeing the defenses and making the calls and forming cohesion with his teammates. From that perspective, he can't get back soon enough.

Osiris33, I don't think Seneca is ever going to fully make the transition. They gave him a contract extension last season to be a backup QB, and that is his role. I think they feel that to fully develop Taylor or Payne or whomever, they don't want to have Seneca take away their reps. And to be perfectly honest, I think there might be some concern about being one hit away from having Frye as the starting QB.

Mingweezy, The popups are not my department.

Thanks Frank.
I'm holding you to that taking a look at Mike Wahle. He's an important piece that we've been missing to help the running game. Ever since the departure of Hutch, our running game hasn't been the same. Hopefully he can help and produce for us.

I was just about to ask if you could do one of these, it's really helpful.

Thank you Frank.

I love to hear about the VMAC but it is really interesting to hear how the conditions have been until now. They have done well without all the fancy suroundings so combine a high quality team with this top level support and we will rock the rest of the NFL.

Great job on the coverage Mr. Frank!
