That's right, Floyd "Pork Chop" Womack suited up and practiced today, and looked decent working during team drills at left tackle. Womack had missed several days with a knee injury and has spent more time in the training room than on the field so far in camp. But if he's able to stay healthy (I know a big if) he could provide some depth at O-line for the Seahawks with his ability to play both guard and tackle.

"It feels good," Womack said. "It always feels good to get back to practice. You want to be on the same page as everybody out there. It's never good to be on the sideline watching practice."

Womack said he doesn't know if he'll be ready to go for Chicago, and just plans on getting out on the field the next few days and seeing how it goes.

[More:]

The Seahawks ran through a short, crisp afternoon practice that lasted about an hour, mainly working through team drills that were more about getting to the right spots than actually beating your guy.

Walter Jones (shoulder) and Ray Willis (knee) sat out the afternoon practice, as usual. After hurting his right ankle at the end of the morning practice, Rocky Bernard also was on the sidelines this afternoon.

Matt Hasselbeck also missed the afternoon practice with a sore back, but I suspect the team is keeping him out as more of a precaution and that Hasselbeck could go if this were a regular-season game.

The Seahawks also worked on kick returns this afternoon, with Jordan Kent, Justin Forsett, T.J. Duckett, Josh Wilson and Courtney Taylor all fielding kicks. However, don't take a whole lot from who is returning, as the Seahawks have let a lot of guys catch kicks, but haven't cemented who will be the two guys back there come the regular season.
