The Seahawks are not releasing anything until tomorrow on Lofa's injury, and his agent's voice mailbox is full so I couldn't even leave a message there. But here is my gut: If it was serious, they would have released something sooner than tomorrow. But I'm guessing they are handling this the way they did with Sean Locklear -- they initially said he has a knee sprain and is out for two weeks, and that is what indeed happened so they just waited until the following day at practice. Since Holmgren said last night there was no ligament tear, and the initial diagnosis is a bruised knee, that diagnosis likely has not changed, which is good news. With the way Tatupu has handled pain the past, I can't imagine he would sit out the season opener at Buffalo. That is still almost two weeks away.
COMMENTS:
By the way, are we going to lock up Leroy Hill, or what?
It sure would be nice...
Lofa played a play after the injury, and then came out.
To me that would indicate probably a nonstructural problem, but more pain and swelling. If something was torn, he would likely have come out right away.
I am uninformed, so all I say is mere speculation. Spare me your slings and arrows. I am kind to small children. If they are blonde.
oldslow...very strange comments, and kind of creepy. hopefully that was a movie quote that i'm unaware of.
need to lock up hill, even more so now than before. we have the money, make a deal now and you will save money in the long run.
