The league responded to my inquiry regarding Cardinals defensive back Adrian Wilson. They confirmed that Wilson will not be fined for his on Matt Hasselbeck. It was, they said, a legal hit.

Have I not been saying this???? How hard was that to figure out.

ps. Thank you Frank for the quick response time on the information.
jibo1 @ 09:51 - Tuesday, November 18th, 2008 Email
Told ya,
If it was the other way around Seattle would have gotten fined!!
CowboysP @ 10:16 - Tuesday, November 18th, 2008 Email
jibo,
That is just whining, sour grapes, and not accurate! That's what Hasselbeck was doing too.
Just me @ 12:05 - Tuesday, November 18th, 2008
The first sack on Hasselbeck was helmet to helmet and should have had a flag thrown AND a fine should be given. But not to the player but to the umpire who blatantly missed it!

Frank,

We need you to ask about the possibility of seeing Wrotto on the field in the coming weeks.

He could be a hidden gem. He could suck. I want to know THIS year which of them it is so the franchise can move forward knowing if this guy can start or not in '09.

It's not fair to us fans, the organization, Timmay!, Mora, Paul Allen, etc. for us to go into '09 still not knowing anything about Wrotto. If the veteran incentive crap comes up again (perhaps for Pork Chop?) --- I say some of the vets are the reason we're 2-8 so they haven't lived up to their end of the bargain (they should understand this is a business).

I know we have other young guys many of us would also want to see too, but can you PLEASE be specific about Wrotto?

I would appreciate it VERY much!

CowboysP... you are a real dork. As a matter of fact, you are second only in dorkiness to _____________.
CowboysP @ 16:17 - Tuesday, November 18th, 2008 Email
Sharkhawk, you can call me names, no problem. That seems to be common, when I say something that are:

different from what is normally on this blog, and,

true, but nobody wants to hear it.

I'll say it again.
Hasselbeck was whining....

Dukeshire @ 17:32 - Tuesday, November 18th, 2008 Email
CowboysP, Part of the reason you get criticized so often is that you articulate your opinions as though they are fact, and very poorly at that.
CowboysP @ 18:19 - Tuesday, November 18th, 2008 Email
Duke, The criticism doesn't bother me, BUT I will attempt to change my use of words, so that my opinions DO sound like opinions.

I certainly am no more knowledgeable about the Seahawks than anyone else on this board, so sorry if my words sounded like I was attempting to state opinions as facts.....
BobbyK @ 18:24 - Tuesday, November 18th, 2008 Email
CowboysP --- I have come to the conclusion that you are truly a Seahawks fan. There's no way you would spend this amount of time on a Seahawks blog if you weren't. It's okay to admit it. Times are tough and all, but we'll be better again someday.

Not that there are many positives to the season, but one is that all the bandwagon fans have mostly quit on the team and blogging.
CowboysP @ 18:42 - Tuesday, November 18th, 2008 Email
BobbyK,
No, the reality of the situation is that I like to talk NFL football.

If you have ever been to any of the Dallas Cowboys blogs, on ESPN, or really ANY of the other ones (there are many), you would find that MOST of the blogs have TONS of participants. This by itself would be fine, but the blog users are usually evenly split between Cowboys fans (mostly emotionally driven types, whose opinions change week to week, based upon the previous game), and the "Hate the Cowboys" group, who just say things like "Cowboys suck" or "Tony loves Jessica".

I grew up in Seattle, and only moved from the Seattle area two years ago. I also know alot of Seahawks fans, and MOST of the fans that participate on Seahawks blogs are intelligent NFL fans, with solid opinions.

The News Tribune Seahawks bloggers would be at the top of that list. And I also had a News Tribune subscription for many years.
BobbyK @ 18:56 - Tuesday, November 18th, 2008 Email
Gotcha.
OutSydeDog @ 21:16 - Tuesday, November 18th, 2008 Email
LOL...BobbyK, I thought the same thing myself.

Cowboy, I enjoy the insight you bring on occassion, and sometimes your comments seem designed to inflame some Seahawk fans. And thanks for ranking us Seahawk fans as "mostly" intelligent. :)

GO HAWKS!!!
SharkHawk @ 21:55 - Tuesday, November 18th, 2008 Email
You grew up in Seattle and are a Cowboys fan? Sorry for calling you a dork before. What I meant to say is that you are a bandwagon riding knothead. ;-p

Preach on brotha. You forgot troll. For somebody with a "Cowboys" screen name to infest Seahawk boards, and only Seahawks boards, and then claim "I like to talk football" is just b.s. What he likes to do is bash the Seahawks, and Holmgren, and Hasselbeck...
CowboysP @ 06:56 - Wednesday, November 19th, 2008 Email
You know, I believe that can win this game against the Redskins. The Redskins only had around 230 yards in the last two games. Losses to Steelers and Cowboys, at home.

I think the Seahawks defense will determine the outcome of the game, with the following keys:

1. Can Trufant shut down Santana Moss, one on one?
2. Can the Hawks slow down Clinton Portis? Portis will still not be 100%. And I think Betts is still not at 100% either. If Trufant can cover Moss with little help, the Seahawks can put 8 in the box.
3. MUST put pressure on Campbell. When he does have pressure, he starts to make mistakes, and throws the ball away alot. With no pressure, he tends to be fairly solid.

If the Seahawks can accomplish these three things, I believe that they will win the game.

And yes, I am pulling for the Seahawks, for obvious reasons.
CowboysP @ 06:58 - Wednesday, November 19th, 2008 Email
First sentence should have start "I believe that THE SEAHAWKS can win this game against the Redskins.
BobbyK @ 08:28 - Wednesday, November 19th, 2008 Email
I think we'll beat the Redskins.
jegggo @ 09:40 - Wednesday, November 19th, 2008 Email
I think the Seahawks will win because if Portis get's an owwweee Shauna Alexander will play in his place and we know how Shauna runs like he is on fire STOP DROP AND ROLL! Should be easy after that point!
CowboysP @ 10:53 - Wednesday, November 19th, 2008 Email
SharkHawk - You can call me lots of things, but don't call me "bandwagon". First Cowboys game I attended was a preseason game at the Kingdome in 1979. Charlie Waters got hurt in that game (that was bad).
nighthawk2 @ 11:13 - Wednesday, November 19th, 2008 Email
Well, that game in Arizona maybe one of the Hawks will take a "clean" shot at Warner's head too. Payback is a bitch.
BrianBlades @ 13:01 - Wednesday, November 19th, 2008 Email
The shot may have been cheap, but I thought it was whiny of Hasselbeck to bring it up like he did. That's not tough football talk, that's whining.

That's my problem with Hasselbeck - his performance has been great at times, but his leadership is questionable and he's learned his post-game excuse making from Holmgren quite well.

As a lifelong Hawks fan, I was embarassed by his comments and felt they played into the national viewpoint that we are soft.

If he felt that way during the game (as he apparently did), did he go fire up the defense to get to Warner and put him on his ass?

Show me more attitude and less freaking commercials, please.
