The Seahawks announced today that they will open training camp practices to the public beginning Aug. 3. Folks interesting in attending can register at the team's web site starting July 16.

Practices will be open from Aug. 3 through Aug. 20, and a schedule along with times will be provided at a later date. For more info check out this link.

The Hawks concluded their second practice about 5:30 today. The workout included crowd noise during team drills, as head coach Jim Mora had his team work through several, scripted game situations under the noisy conditions, including 2-minute drill.

Wide receiver Deion Branch continues to work more during team drills, and also caught a pass during 7-on-7 passing drills.

Tight End John Carlson also made a nice, one-handed diving grab along the sideline with linebacker Leroy Hill trailing.

We also saw the beginnings of veterans giving rookies the business, with rookie wide receiver Deon Butler carrying Branch's helmet off the field.

Also, linebacker Aaron Curry looked impressive again rushing the passer during team drills today.

The Seahawks will finish minicamp on Friday with one morning practice.

I talked with running back Justin Forsett about what he believes his role will be in the offense, along with the opportunities he'll receive on special teams. You can listen to the conversation here.
