Here are some quick thoughts on Seattle’s 2009 schedule.
Seattle opens up with four of six games at home, including St. Louis, Chicago, Jacksonville and Arizona.
Seattle head coach Jim Mora had to like that debuting as Seattle’s head coach in 2009.
Seattle's bye week comes in week 7, which should work out better after having the bye week in the fourth week of the season last year, although last season the Seahawks needed to regroup early in the season.
The NFL announced the regular season schedule this afternoon, including the full Seattle Seahawks schedule, which can be viewed here.

Seattle opens up at home against NFC West rival the St. Louis Rams on Sunday Sept. 13.
I’ll have some analysis of the schedule a bit later.
The National Football League announced its preseason schedule this morning, and it's no surprise that the Seattle Seahawks schedule includes all AFC West opponents.
The league typically tries to limit travel for its teams during the preseason, and the Seahawks usually do not play against NFC West divisional opponents during these exhibition contests, so that's why you see Seattle facing a steady diet of Oakland and San Diego during the preseason.
Here's Seattle's schedule.
The Seahawks' scheduled game at Qwest Field against the New England Patriots on Dec. 7 has been moved to a 1:05 p.m. start under the rule of the league's flexible scheduling.
Replacing the Seahawks-Patriots in the 5:15 p.m. slot will be the Washington Redskins-Baltimore Ravens game. It is the first switch of a game from afternoon to prime time this season.
The Redskins-Ravens game is between two teams in the playoff race with 7-4 records. While the Patriots, also 7-4, remain in contention, Seattle (2-9) is out of it.
The flex scheduling was instituted with the new television contract in 2005 to allow more attractive games to be switched to prime time in the last two months of the season.
Veterans must report to training camp on July 24, and the first practice is on Friday, July 25.
The first few weeks of training camp will be held at the team's practice facility in Kirkland, but sometime after the second preseason game they will break camp and move to the new digs in Renton permanently.
The preseason game against Minnesota originally scheduled for Saturday Aug. 9 has been changed to Friday Aug. 8.

* No Monday Night games for the Seahawks
The Seahawks open at Buffalo on Sunday, Sept. 7. It is 10 am PT. So much for the Seahawks playing the Bills in Toronto. They also play the Thanksgiving Day afternoon game at Dallas. I am working on getting the PDF of the entire sked and will post that when I get it.
NFL Network will have a two-hour show, which starts at 11 am Pacific, that will announce the regular season schedule. Here is the NFL's release on that:

As was mentioned a few threads ago, it appears the Seahawks are not going to the UK next season for a game. According to the San Diego Union Tribune, the Saints and Chargers will be the teams. Here is the link.
