Brock and I got together during Wednesday's practice and discussed a number of topics regarding the Seahawks and this week's game against Cleveland. I think it's worth a listen.
I was able to get together with Brock yesterday afternoon to discuss the upcoming game against the Steelers.
Brock and I were able to get together mid-week and covered some interesting stuff. Brock thinks the game is going to come down to a field goal.
Brock is back with the blog. Here is the audio from the interview I did with him on Thursday afternoon. We did it out on the practice field so you may hear some pads cracking in the background.
I was able to catch up with Brock today at practice and we did about a 7 1/2 minute analysis of the Arizona Cardinals and the Seahawks' upcoming game with them. He was great and I understand why so many of you want to hear him regularly. I am going to post that for your listening enjoyment on Saturday morning as Boling and I make our way down to Arizona.
Also, Seahawks have practice tomorrow at 11:35. They also will release a formal list of their injured players and we should have a better idea of who may or may not play on Sunday.
I have spoken to Brock and he has agreed to do some more analysis for the blog. He knows you all want to hear what he has to say. Unfortunately, Brock has a daily job in real estate and so he comes up to the headquarters only a couple times a week for production meetings. We were going to do it this week but he got jammed up with a meeting. The short of it is this: We are going to do audio interviews with Brock when we are both able to get together, which we are committed to doing. But keep in mind that the Seahawks is not a full-time gig for him, he has another job, and so it doesn't always work out.
Quite a few readers have asked for another "Brock breaks it down" audio analysis from former Seahawks quarterback Brock Huard. We'll have a couple of them later this week. I spoke with Brock for about a half-hour tonight. He is down in Long Beach (Washington, not California), selling properties at the Butterfly Shores development. We recorded two conversations. The first focused on the Seahawks' offense. The second focused on the defense. We'll probably run the offensive installment Thursday, followed by the defensive installment Friday. The NFL is expected to release its 2007 regular-season schedule tomorrow, so that will be the focus in the meantime. Right now I need to write a short story about Warren Moon's situation for the Wednesday paper.
Former Seahawks QB Brock Huard is back with his 14th audio analysis for Seahawks Insider. We mostly looked ahead to the Chicago game. He was absolutely right last week when he told us the Seahawks' situation in the secondary was being overplayed. This week, Brock touched on what he thinks the Bears will do offensively, compared to what the Cowboys did (and did not) do last week. He thinks Matt Hasselbeck has to be nearly perfect, with a passer rating in triple digits, for the Seahawks to win this game. Click here to listen. Note: Be sure to check in with Brock through the Fone Zone postgame show on Northwest Cable News.
Former Seahawks QB Brock Huard is back with his 13th audio analysis for Seahawks Insider. This is a special expanded playoff edition, 16-plus minutes of pure football. Brock took us into the Cowboys' meeting rooms with ex-Hawk Jerheme Urban, his friend and former teammate. He explained why, in his view, Seattle's secondary problems will wind up being an overplayed story this week. And he points out where he thinks each team could be vulnerable. Click here to listen. Note: Be sure to check in with Brock through the Fone Zone postgame show on Northwest Cable News.
Former Seahawks QB Brock Huard is back with his 12th audio analysis for Seahawks Insider. Click here to listen (tip: turn down the volume on your computer to a lower level before playing this file). We dove right into the important issues lingering from the San Diego game. Brock talked about how to best use Michael Boulware in the future and what the Seahawks might have done differently in a couple of situations. He explained why the Tampa Bay game might be more important than a lot of us might realize. And he revealed which team he thinks the Seahawks should hope to face in the wild-card round. Note: Be sure to check in with Brock through the Fone Zone postgame show on Northwest Cable News.
Former Seahawks QB Brock Huard is back with his 11th audio analysis for Seahawks Insider. Click here to listen. We missed Brock last week because the Thursday night kickoff threw off our schedules. He wonders how much the Seahawks' loss to the 49ers last week will hurt their confidence at home. Looking ahead to the San Diego game, he thinks the Seahawks need to do two things: pass-protect well enough to take advantage of the Chargers' secondary, much the way Cincinnati did earlier in the season, and slow LaDainian Tomlinson just enough so that Philip Rivers has to carry more of the load offensively. Brock also explains why he likes Michael Boulware's promotion from a schematic perspective. Note: Be sure to check in with Brock through the Fone Zone postgame show on Northwest Cable News.
Former Seahawks QB Brock Huard is back with his 10th audio analysis for Seahawks Insider. Click here to listen. Generally we post these Wednesdays. Scheduling issues prevented that this week, but we made up for it by extending this session to about 18 minutes. We broke down the Denver game, previewed the Arizona game and analyzed several issues facing this team. Note: Be sure to check in with Brock through the Fone Zone postgame show on Northwest Cable News.
