Comment: Marcus Tubbs’ knee injury on Thursday means he is likely headed for injured reserve, opening a spot for somebody else. Terrill is the best pass-rusher but without Tubbs it needs a run-stopper. Davis’ age could factor in.

Linebackers

On the bubble: Will Herring, Niko Koutouvides, Lance Laury
Longshots: Cameron Jensen.
Comment: Koutouvides seems secure since he is the only backup middle linebacker. Herring is a candidate for the practice squad if the Seahawks actually only keep six linebackers, as coach Mike Holmgren has steadfastly maintained for two weeks.

Defensive backs
In: Kelly Jennings, Marcus Trufant, Josh Wilson, Deon Grant, Brian Russell, Jordan Babineaux
On the bubble: Michael Boulware, Mike Green, DeJuan Groce, Pete Hunter, C.J. Wallace, Kevin Hobbs

Comment: This remains the most unsettled group on the team and has become murkier with recent performances. Wallace had an excellent preseason. Hobbs had a great third preseason game. Hunter played well Thursday night. Boulware has been injured. Green and Groce have done little to distinguish themselves.
