"One Chris Eylander!
There's only one Chris Eylander!
One Chris Ey-laaaaan-der,
there's only one Chris Ey-laaan-der!"

Evidently all those ECS singers got through to the USL powers-that-be, who named the Sounders goalkeeper the league player of the week. Loads of big saves Sunday in the 1-0 win away to Montreal and even Friday in the 1-0 loss at Rochester. That follows his two big saves in the penalty KO of the KC Wizards in the U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals.

Anyone tempted to jump on the Kasey Keller bandwagon surely ought to give Eylander a good long look first.

The USL Seattle Sounders and the PDL Tacoma Tide's efforts to put together a friendly match for this season have apparently failed.

The teams played an entertaining 2-2 draw last season, and there was every expectation that another game would be scheduled this season.

However, there was difficulty in finding a date that worked for both teams, and that difficulty only increased as the Sounders have made their run into the U.S. Open Cup semifinals.

While there is a slight pulse to the possibility of a game next week, fans wanting another look at the Tide this season should probably get out to Curtis on Saturday for their final home game of the regular season.
