Post-Sonics Watch
Feeling lost without your Seattle SuperSonics? Seattle-area NBA fans face their first season without an NBA team in 41 years. Primarily, our coverage here will focus on the City of Seattle’s attempt to bring the NBA back to Seattle. But we also will provide updates on the Portland Trail Blazers, the Oklahoma City Thunder and area players plying their trade for other teams in the NBA.

Eric Williams covered the Sonics' last season in Seattle. A Tacoma native, Eric graduated from Mount Tahoma High and the University of Puget Sound.

Keeping an eye on the NBA and Seattle's efforts to get back into the game
Wednesday, November 7th, 2007
Posted by Eric Williams @ 08:53:54 pm

The Sonics led by as many as 14 in the third quarter, but Memphis worked back into and now lead 87-81 at the end of the third quarter.

Seattle turned the ball over seven times in the third quarter. The Sonics were outscored 38-24 in the third.

Maybe Seattle experienced the letdown a quarter early and will come back for a strong fourth.

Delonte West, Wally Szczerbiak, Kevin Durant, Jeff Green and Chris Wilcox start the fourth for Seattle.

The Sonics are on a 4-0 run early, and only trail 87-85 early in the fourth.

We had a chance to make a comeback for a while, until the other team nails a 3 pointer(again) to seal it.

YARGHH!!!!

Earl and Damien are BUMS! The offense GRINDS to a halt whenever they touch the ball. Especially Damien. He is a good role player, but it seems like he has the green light? He gets the ball stripped more than any other player (well, maybe KD. But, he is a rookie and that is expected). I don't know why the final 5 includes these two.

Not to blame... but, the refs WILL NOT give us a call?! It is a little frustrating to watch.

People need to show up to the games so Bennett has can't say "there is no passion for the Supes." BS!

They team looked really uninspired. There was nobody rallying the troops. Maybe they were tired from the back-to-back but still, put some fresh legs out there or something.

Consistent 4th quarter meltdowns are a sign of poor coaching.

Then again, this may be exactly what Bennett wants.

After looking at the stands last night the supersonics don't have anybody showing up to even watch the games much less showing any passion for this team. The true fact is the Supersonics are washed up and Bennett has made it so no one wants to even support them anymore. Hard to convince anyone he needs a bigger stadium when The Sonics can't even come close to filling the so called Unacceptable Key Arena. Remember Bennett's go to guy in Oklahoma City telling us all, they never intended to keep the Sonics here any how and then they fine the guy for speaking the truth! Bennett is the sleaze among the sleaze and no he truly does not want to keep the team here that is of course unless we get him a new arena and let him keep the profits. In which of course he would be like the taxpayers of Washington a fool not to keep them here.
