Feeling lost without your Seattle SuperSonics? Seattle-area NBA fans face their first season without an NBA team in 41 years. Primarily, our coverage here will focus on the City of Seattle’s attempt to bring the NBA back to Seattle. But we also will provide updates on the Portland Trail Blazers, the Oklahoma City Thunder and area players plying their trade for other teams in the NBA.
Eric Williams covered the Sonics' last season in Seattle. A Tacoma native, Eric graduated from Mount Tahoma High and the University of Puget Sound.

I have been boycotting Starbuck's since the deal was made. There should have been rules in place to prevent profit motivated businessmen who don't have civic loyalty from selling out.
Having said that, basketball franchises in an isolated market are not necessarily a bad thing, i.e. Sacramento, Phoenix, Salt Lake City. It may not be a bad deal for the team. In Oklahoma City they will be the only game in town. Oklahoma has the Sooners, Conoco-Phillips, the U of O to support them. With the MLS coming to Seattle, can we support 4 professional sports teams?
This sucks, but I hope that if the Sonics go to Oklahoma and someone tries to steal them, Oklahoma will put up a little more of a fight than Seattle did. Karen
