Post-Sonics Watch
Feeling lost without your Seattle SuperSonics? Seattle-area NBA fans face their first season without an NBA team in 41 years. Primarily, our coverage here will focus on the City of Seattle’s attempt to bring the NBA back to Seattle. But we also will provide updates on the Portland Trail Blazers, the Oklahoma City Thunder and area players plying their trade for other teams in the NBA.

Eric Williams covered the Sonics' last season in Seattle. A Tacoma native, Eric graduated from Mount Tahoma High and the University of Puget Sound.

Kill me.

So is the news tribune going to dis-continue this blog soon because of the relocation?

Why would the News Tribune wanna keep a blog going for a team 2000 miles away? I hope this becomes a Trailblazers blog, and I hope to see Blazers coverage such as scores, reviews of games, and previews of upcoming games. The Blazers are essentially the localest team now!

i doubt they start covering the blazers. this is just another convenient excuse to cut payroll.

It would be nice if FSN airs Blazers games in Seattle to help ease the pain. I can't imagine going through winter without a local bball team to watch.

I’ve spent the last couple days trying to find some way to deal with the sonics leaving. I’m too young to know about the championship team, but I created a farewell video about the sonics team that I do remember. I’d appreciate it if people watch it and let me know what they think.
